There is no doubt our economy is in trouble and something must be done to fix it, however, denying our citizens their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is not the answer.
America was not founded nor was its Constitution written for only the wealthy elite. The concept of our country is that everyone is entitled to the same opportunities.
There are simple solutions, it just is unfortunate that the Big Business Elite control the government and wreak havoc on the lives of the general population to pursue their own interests, ignorant of the fact that if the middle class are plunged any further into desitution, there will be no consumers from whom they can profit.
Some proposals for solving our deficit, boosting our economy and generating jobs that can again put the United States of America back on the map as a leader in the world.
1. Reduce tax breaks for big oil companies
2. Any tax breaks big oil companies receive must be invested in research and development of green energies, the manufacture and production of such taking place on American soil, thus providing a new job market for American citizens.
3. Any company that sends American jobs overseas, such as setting up their customer service call centers in other countries must pay a higher tax rate than companies who provide American citizens with jobs right here in the United States.
4. Tax breaks should be given to large corporations who utilize smaller American companies to manufacture their parts rather than buy parts overseas.
5. Incentives should be given to companies who hire people who were on Welfare who have successfully gotten a college degree.
6. Companies who invest in their employees education should receive tax breaks.
7. Schools who enroll and accomodate disabled should receive more funds.
8. Companies who hire disabled should receive incentives, especially reimbursement for accommadting special needs so that these individuals can return to the work force.
9. Small businesses should be given tax breaks in order to allow smaller communities to thrive.
10. Companies that import items from overseas should pay an excise tax on all items coming into the country, encouraging them to buy from and support other American companies.
11. More emphasis and investment in education should be a top priority. If our country wants to become a leader in inventing new industries, technologies, entrepreneurs who will enhance our job market, we must provide the opportunity for individuals with such potential the means to be a productive contributors to our society.
12. Reform immigration laws to make it easier for immigrants to become citizens who are tax payers.
13. Stop giving aide to illegal immigrant. Assist them in becoming citizens prior to offering aid. When they become citizens, they should be given grants and required to at least complete a Certificate program so they will become a part of the working class.
Cutting our benefits is not the answer. Cutting aid to those deserving is not the answer. Pacifying the wealthy is not the answer. A balanced look at the big picture and increasing revenue and the potential for future revenue is the answer.
